About Rikka Ayasaki Biography
Paris-based Japanese artist Rikka Ayasaki, with a decade of ink wash painting in Tokyo, captures nature's essence in black and white. She studied at Beaux-Arts of Paris City, and showcases her talent through acrylic and SUMI ink. Her journey includes major exhibitions French Senate, UN HQ, Europe, US, and Japan. One of the poetry collections to which she contributed illustrations and cover art earned the esteemed Italian Literature Prize. Her work graces global private collections. |
Having called Paris her home since 1999.
Selected every year since 2004 to one of the world´s most important
exhibitions of contemporary art, the Salon d'Automne, Paris. Participation
to exhibitions at the French National Galleries of the Grand Palais, at
the Louvre Museum and at the Ministry of Finance, Paris.
Additional participation to exhibitions at the National Art Center (Tokyo,
Japan), at the Museum of the Americas (USA), Schönbrunn Palace (Vienna,
Austria), Chelsea Old Town Hall (UK), etc.
Rikka Ayasaki has received numerous awards, and has granted interviews to the media, notably France National TV- France 2 and Japanese and French radio interviews. Art works discussed at the French Popular University in a course titled ¨Rikka Ayasaki, intuitive painter¨. At the event ¨Discovering Japan and its lifestyle¨ under the patronage of the Embassy of Japan in France, she held a conference about her works.
Besides being a member of the International Association of Art (AIAP) at
UNESCO, Rikka Ayasaki is also member of:
- Conseil national français des Arts plastiques (CNFAP)
- The Taylor Foundation,
- Society of Salon d'Automne (organizing the long-standing annual fine
arts exhibition in autumn, Paris)
- French national Society of Fine Arts, founded in 1890
- La Maison des Artistes (Artists' house-French Artists Association)
